Improve Future Planning

Through strategic planning; create and execute on plans for now and well into the future. Take into account impacts from other communities and what they are developing.

Understanding growth and controlling it so we do not lose the charm and character of Mount Pleasant.

Let's create a roadmap that everyone can see.

Transparent Governance

Assure the process for notifications to the community are followed.

I support televising Town Council meetings.

Since the community has grown exponentially in the past few years I would support, 2 times per year, hosting a monthly Town Council meeting in different locations around the town.

Local Impacts

Work to solve local issues like traffic, maintaining and adding parks and green spaces, safe sidewalks and cycling access.

Helping our community businesses to grow. Growth is not always about new housing, we need a solid economic growth plan to assure our local businesses thrive.

Offer opportunities for local voices to be heard. Start quarterly face to face opportunities all around town to talk about issues. Community and business roundtables. What is important to you!

Introduce districts to balance the representation on the town council. Two districts with 3 representatives each, and 2 at large positions.

I will remain engaged in the community through volunteering and supporting local events and businesses.

Possibly introduce surveys to gage community opinions about issues, proposals, and plans.
